Osteo/Balance Class
As we begin to age, one of the consequences of a more sedentary lifestyle is the increased risk of falling. Balance problems develop as a result of both primary and secondary stages of aging. Our effective intervention program for improving balance and strengthening bone includes an individual assessment, a class format that instructs balance enhancing drills, postural awareness techniques, muscle strengthening, flexibility and range of motion exercises. This 60 min class is geared at educating it’s participants to understand that with daily exercise, movement becomes less threatening and confidence is restored for everyday activities. Research shows that individuals who engage in daily exercises to maintain functional fitness manage their lives more safely and maintain their independence longer.
