Kelly Morgan-Sassman is certified by ACE, American Council on Exercise and
BASI, Body Arts and Science International Pilates Education... Kelly has instructed for
over 20 yrs in the Sacramento Area, in all phases of aerobic and strength conditioning classes. In addition to traditional studio exercise, she has developed and instructed
aquatic programs for both seniors and children.
In 1998, Kelly opened Body Basics Personal Training Studio in Sacramento, a one-on-one exercise training facility. The studio is equipped with top of the line cardio, free-weight, machine and band/Bosu accessories and the addition of Pilates Allegro in fall of 2000.
Kelly has earned additional certification in exercise instruction from California State
University of Hayward, Polestar Pilates, Sacramento City College, and the American Red Cross for Emergency Water Safety and CPR.
Kelly trains as a recreational distance/marathon runner and has completed and trained
clients in the 1998, 2000, 2006 California International Marathon and the 2004 Suzuki “Rock and Roll” Marathon.
In 2004 Kelly created one of Sacramento’s few Parents and Child Exercise Programs entitled the P.A.C.E. Challenge designed to get kids exercising along side their parents.
Kelly has been featured in Sacramento Health and Fitness Magazine, Sacramento Magazine 2004-2006 and on KCRA Channel 3, as a special interest spot on her unique fitness studio.
September 2005 marked the opening of Sacramento's Purely Pilates, specializing in personalized Pilate Instruction in both Mat and Apparatus application.
To keep current on cutting edge training techniques, Purely Pilates Personal Training Studio is hosting a Sacramento BASI, Body Arts and Science International Comprehensive Teacher Training Course, (CTTC) to be held at the studio for fitness instructors looking to expand their knowledge in the ever popular Pilates method of exercise.
