You've probably heard from Jill that our baby girl was born. She arrived one week early on Dec 12 weighing 6lbs 11oz and 19 inches long. I really have to thank you for Pilates prenatal sessions. I really do believe the combination of stretching and strength training really contributed to my stamina during the whole labor/delivery process. From the time my water broke to actual delivery was 25 hours and I basically didn't sleep the whole time. But the actual pushing was only for 1 hour. "I had been interested in Pilates for a long time because I had a heard about its focus on abdominal and core strength. As I age, it is important to me to keep my back strong. I've been working with my instructor weekly for a couple of months now and am really enjoying her one-on-one training. Her classes are well-structured and she explains the movements well. She easily adjusts the exercises I do to the limitations of my body so that I'm not straining those areas. I leave each session with an energized feeling and exhausted muscles. I am learning to be more aware of my body in terms of breathing and concentrating on specific muscle groups."
